Gratitude - Why I am Starting a Travel Blog (Part 3 of 3)

One of the reasons why I love to travel is simple - I get to be more of me. What does that mean exactly?

I constantly struggle with thoughts of who I am supposed to be vs. who I actually am. I don’t have to be anything to anyone during that time, especially when I travel solo. I can be quiet and introspective or out going and the life of the party.

It’s a time where I allow myself to feel and do whatever my heart desires.

It’s an opportunity to focus on being more present and in the moment.

It’s a place where I can put my needs above work, family and the other responsibilities I have in the world for a little while.

As a result, I have learned to incorporate these principles more in my every day life.

This blog is a mixture of my personal and therapeutic thoughts about travel.

The ability to travel is something I believe that everyone should have the opportunity to do.

Travel is your reward for working hard everyday.

Travel creates more happiness, joy and gratitude within and around you.

Meeting new people and experiencing different journeys enriches your life, nurtures your spirit and ensures that you prioritize your own self-care.

Counting down the days to you next holiday can be both torturous and tantalizing. Fears of trying something new are challenged and discovery of the unknown is imminent.

It can reveal passions you thought you never had and love you didn’t know you could feel.

Moments can lead to reflections on memories and emotions you haven’t acknowledged. Each adventure can be crafted to be as chill or as thrilling as you want it to be.

Travel alone can allow you to enhance your ability to be more comfortable and confident in your own skin.

Travel with family, friends and loved ones can either deepen relationships or unearth their limitations.

Even when your arrangements don’t go as planned, travel can increase your capacity to adapt to change as well as your ability to discern between going with the flow and getting what you paid for.

Travel is your own journey, specific to you and your own needs.

While inspirations for travel may change, there is always an opportunity to grow and explore something new with each and every trip.

All these reasons and more are why my soul is in love with travel.
